Jamaican Movie Destiny to Make U.S. Premiere

The award winning Grasshopper Productions produced film “Destiny” will have it’s U.S premiere on Monday March 30 2015, in Miramar Florida. The U.S premiere will be hosted by Vice Mayor Yvette Colbourne, at the Miramar Cultural Center, 2400 Civic Center Miramar at 8pm, with a VIP reception at 6:30pm.

Following the film’s record breaking run in Jamaica, the Tuff Gong Pictures co-produced film, will have releases in New York, South Florida, Chicago, Atlanta, DC and Hartford, before heading into other territories for 2015.

Destiny chronicles the story of Lisa Pullen, played by lead actress Karian Sang, as she journeys to find herself following the death of her parents and a tumultuous break-up with her boyfriend. A trip to Jamaica to sell land acquired through inheritance leads to much more, as Lisa not only uncovers truths about her family’s past, but also finds herself while falling in love.

The film features a host of popular Jamaican personalities including; recording artistes Christopher Martin, Spice, Tifa, Karian Sang, media personalities Miss Kitty, Debbie Bissoon, Scott Wilson, and actors Muniar Zacca, Kadeem Wilson, Kevoy Burton and others.

In addition to Destiny’s captivating storyline the film also boasts a dynamic soundtrack produced by Clive Hunt and features music from platinum selling artiste Busy Signal, Reggae artiste Chronixx, Paris based artiste Bazil, the dynamic duo Sly and Robbie, Christopher Martin, TIFA, Karian Sang and number of other top acts and is being distributed through Tuff Gong Internationals.

A limited number of tickets for the U.S. Premiere are available for purchase online at www.miramarculturalcenter.org or at the Cultural Center Box office.
