Jamaican producer distributes Hip Hop album with Universal

On the heels of the success of the blockbuster reggae album, ‘Tropical House Cruises to Jamaica,’ the Contractor Music Group based in Ocho Rios, Jamaica has released the followup album ‘Hip Hop Cruises to Jamaica.’

The maiden project ‘Tropical House Cruises to Jamaica’ spent 19 weeks this year on the Billboard reggae album charts – 4 weeks at #1. The album features pop icon Ed Sheeran, Wyclef Jean, Damian and Stephen Marley, Lee Scratch Perry, Chronixx, Sean Kingston, Safaree and several other reggae stalwarts.

The new hip hop project was released on November 17th and boasts another stellar lineup which include Jadakiss, Keith Murray, Royce Da 59, Shaggy, Bounty Killer, Master P’s brother C-Murda and Lil Nate Dogg, Capleton and others. There is also an Audiomack version of the album which includes 2 bonus tracks from Lauryn Hill and Chris Brown.

Tiffany Gaines, entertainment executive of the SSMG/Universal Music Group says she is absolutely thrilled to work with Contractor Music to handle digital distribution of the ‘Hip Hop Cruises to Jamaica’ album.
