Jamaican born, Bahamian resident Nadene T. Moss (Clarke) recently launched her new single titled ‘Arise & Shine’ at the Living Waters Kingdom Ministries in Nassau. The song, which incorporates urban, contemporary Christian music and Bahamian Junkanoo beats was produced by Detroit based producer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Chip Dixson who has recorded and played for some of the biggest names in music, including P Diddy, New Edition, Faith Evans, Fred Hammond, The Winans, Pastor William Murphy III, and Bishop Paul Morton.
Nadene, who migrated from Westmoreland Jamaica to New York in the early 80’s, moved to Nassau in 1993 after her marriage to Pastor Alvin Moss of Mount Tabor Full Gospel Baptist Church. Music has always been a part of Nadene’s life. She grew up singing at the Petersfield Anglican Church in Westoreland and was fond of singers like Barbara Streisand, Pattie Labelle, Olivia Newton John and Gladys Knight. She credits her mother the late Phyllis Clarke – a gifted singer – who realized her vocal ability and sparked her interest in singing.
Nadene has since ministered extensively throughout the United States, South Africa and the Caribbean. Her voice has graced numerous conferences, Governmental Officials, Award Ceremonies including the (NAACP) National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, an off Broadway religious play called Chosen and has shared stage time with many renowned gospel artists, including Kirk Franklin, Be Be Winans, Judith Christie McAllister, Donnie McClurkin, Judy Jacobs, Bishop Hezekiah Walker, Yolanda Adams, Richard Smallwood, Kurt Carr and Sha’ Simpson.
