Jamaican Consulate To Launch Calendar And On-line Community Activities, March 25, 2010, New York

The Jamaican Consulate General New York offices will be hosting a reception to promote the Consulate’s 2010 Calendar and On-line Community Activities Calendar “On the Front Row” at Lexus of Manhattan, 829 Eleventh Avenue, New York, NY 10019 on Thursday, March 25, 2010, 6:00pm to 8:30p.m.

Consul General Geneive Brown Metzger explains that the launch is part of several ongoing strategies to enhance communication between the Jamaican Consulate General New York offices and members of the Jamaican communities. “This is an opportunity to hear about what is happening in our community while enhancing your professional or business network,” Brown Metzger adds.

More than 75 Jamaican organizations have registered on the Consulate website and uploaded their events on the Consulate Community Calendar.  Persons may also join the Consulate mailing list.

Prizes, inclusive of a trip to Jamaica, a laptop computer and north coast hotel packages will be given away to lucky winners drawn from the mailing list.

The event is being sponsored by Lexus of Manhattan, Hennessey, Air Jamaica and the Jamaica Tourist Board.
