Marsha Grandison (Ruby) was born on August 19, in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Throughout her elementary years she was involved in plays at the local level for which she received numerous certificates. This continued into high school and college years in Jamaica, where she was actively involved in cultural performances at the local and national level. After leaving Sam Sharpe Teachers’ College in Jamaica, she became the coordinator of the drama club at the Anchovy High School. She received many accolades for her students’ performances. At the age of 20, her family migrated to Brooklyn, New York, where she attended Brooklyn College, studying Sociology and Children Studies. While in New York, she became involved in productions at the Lenox Road Baptist Church.
 
In 2004, Marsha’s family relocated to West Palm Beach, Florida where she continued to nurture her love for the arts. She performs monologues at special events for a local Caribbean Educators Group (CARE Inc.) for which she is now affiliated. She is currently an educator with the Broward County Public Schools and a doctoral student at Nova Southeastern University.
