Jamaicans at Home and in the Diaspora Encouraged to Support Arts Development Programmes

The Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC), an agency of the Ministry of Youth & Culture, is currently in the planning stage for the 2015 programmes and activities to support its arts development mandate. The Commission is therefore encouraging Jamaican at home and in the Diaspora to partner with the agency by making a personal or organizational donation towards its Arts Development Programmes by logging on to www.ISupportJamaica.com and search for JCDC or through this link that is provided:  https://www.isupportjamaica.com/project_details.aspx?pid=95.  This facility is made possible through the “I Support Jamaica” Platform, a web-based project which seeks to provide an easy and creative way for people to help fund projects in Jamaica via crowd-funding. There is also opportunities for corporate companies to associate their brand(s) with the various competitions in the Arts Development Programme.

The JCDC as the leading Cultural Agency in Jamaica through its mandate continues to provide opportunities that unearth, develop, showcase and preserve the creative talents and expressions of the Jamaican people.  

For over 50 years the JCDC has provided the platform for several Jamaicans to develop their talents and enhance career prospects.
