Last week I came back from a trek through Europe doing 6 countries in 11 days ( trip report to follow soon).  I made a few stops in at friends and family that live in Switzerland, France, Germany and England. Our conversations were mainly around Jamaica and the recent Dudus situation. The overwhelming majority of them expressed an interested in returning to Jamaica to live as long as crime can be brought under control. What was also amazing was that the yearning to return to Jamaica was across all a generations from the 20’s to the 60’s.  I am not saying that Jamaican in the US and Canada don’t’ want to move back to Jamaica. The difference is there is no hesitation or wavering in wanting to move back to Jamaica.   They also expressed an interest in other islands if crime cannot be brought under control.
