The celebration of March as International Women’s Month took a swift backseat with the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic throughout the world. The only event that took place to mark International Women’s Day before the halt of celebration activities was the second annual Goldspeak Women 2020, held Saturday March 7, 2020 at the Courtyard by Marriott, Columbia, South Carolina. This life-changing event presents an opportunity to all to get an opportunity to receive golden nuggets of wisdom to live a better life.

Totlyn Oliver, Jamaican radio personality is the host, conceptualizer/organizer of Goldspeak Woman 2020 CEO Goldspeak LLC, explained that this interactive event brings a variety of stories to a platform  to provide the audience with answers to some of their own challenges using the examples of success methods shared from the stage. She says “Goldspeak Women 2020 had the driving focus this year of sharing the healing power of music, dance, art and embracing your own individuality for success. Our audience and I were not disappointed!

WHAT THEY SAID

It is refreshing to have a place where you can come and share ideas on how to overcome obstacles…” said Michelle Cakley, a first timer at GoldSpeak Women.  Chanel Brown said, “This is my second year at Goldspeak Women event and while last year was great, this year far exceeds what I experienced last year!”  Cassandra Fuller of Orangeburg said “The stories were powerful and motivating. My daughter attended with me and she loved it and learned a lot about making her dreams become a reality.

The program finale took the form of a question and answer session which allowed audience members to learn more about the speakers’ experiences and to share their personal feedback.
