Jamaicansmusic.com Launches Digital Distribution With Dubshot Records – Kicks Off With Exclusive Madhouse Records Box Set

Jamaicansmusic.com, the reggae music one-stop, has added Digital Distribution and a music store to the site.  The website is known for its astonishing near 2 million Facebook fans (and ranking as most popular Facebook page in Caribbean in Website category) as well as unique interactive products like Virtual DJ and Songwrita game. 

As the website is completing its overhaul, it is rolling out brand new site features over the next few weeks, starting with a Digital Store and Distribution- kicking off with an exclusive Madhouse Records digital offering.
Available until Christmas, you can purchase the Madhouse Records Collector’s set – 27 titles from the iconic dancehall label for $49.99 or individual titles for $4.99.  Riddims such as “Joyride”, ”Pepperseed”, “Showtime” and Cham’s double disc debut album “Wow…The Story” are in this collection.

The digital distribution is in partnership with Dubshot Records who distribute Madhouse Records digitally to outlets such as Itunes and Amazon.  The box set is offered as a direct-to-consumer via the Jamaicansmusic.com webpage (www.JamaicansMusic.com/musicstore) and Facebook (Facebook.com/Jamaicanmusic) as a direct-to-consumer package which allows people to purchase with Paypal as well as credit cards.

According to JamaicansMusic.com CEO Alex Morrissey,  “The store will serve as an alternative route for both consumers and producers to access music other than through  iTunes. We have a large international audience that has a hard time purchasing music due to credit card restrictions and I wanted to create something that would allow a more convenient access. “

We are excited about developing a relationship with a technology partner who is providing new and exciting ways to interact with reggae music online, ” he concludes.

Jamaicansmusic.com and Dubshot are also partnering on Digital Distribution of product where Dubshot will market to the Digital Stores and Jamaicansmusic.com will provide the marketing the public with its massive fanbase and marketing machine across New Media and Social Media platforms.

JA Productions was the first label to co-sign this venture. Label head Justus Arison says, “I wanted to collaborate with Jamaicans Music because it is fresh and progressive- run by people with new ideas. And, of course because of the large audience,” he says.   “Master’s Blend” and “Rumfire” will be the first titles in the catalog, releasing soon.

Excited about the new venture, Alex Morrissey says “Our store offers fans not only a catalog of some of the greatest classics produced with label like Madhouse, but soon we will be selling our own distributed product from some of Jamaica’s top and upcoming producers.” says Alex Morrissey.
