Value-added packages make February an ideal time for a romantic escape to Jamaica. Couples looking for relaxation and time to reconnect will enjoy whisking away a loved one in time for a Valentine’s Day getaway.

Hotel Grace at Richmond Hill, a stately 18th-century guest house with sweeping views of the mountains and Caribbean Sea, is offering a 15-percent discount with any suite booked for the month of February 2011. Rates range from $189 to $400, plus tax and service. Bookings must be in place by January 31 to secure the discount. 

The Every fifth Night Free program at Breezes Rio Bueno, Breezes Grand Negril, Breezes Runaway Bay, and Breezes Trelawny offers special value for extended vacations. Guests who book by February 17 for travel between January 4 and August 31, 2011, receive every fifth night free (stay for five nights and pay for four; stay for 10 nights and pay for eight). All-inclusive rates start at $115 per person, per night, and vary by property.

Couples can celebrate Valentine’s year-round with the Love & Romance Package at any of Jamaica’s Couples Resorts. This special package includes: fresh flowers, sparkling wine and chocolates on arrival; private candle-lit dinner; $100 gift certificate for choice of spa treatment; $75 gift certificate for gift shop; and $100 certificate towards return trip to any Couples Resorts property. Firefly Beach Cottages, a relaxing ocean-front resort in Negril, is offering Romantic Escapes, with special rates for one-bedroom cottages and studios that each feature local art and fresh flowers. Rates start at $140 per room, based on double occupancy, plus 10 percent tax. Rates are valid for travel through March 31, 2011, and bookings must be secured by February 9.     

Situated on a historic 18th-century sugar plantation, Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa offers its all-inclusive year-round Romance Package with luxurious accommodations; meal plan; daily in-room breakfast; bottle of sparking wine on arrival; on-site championship golf course; private beach; and full-service spa. Rates start at $319 per couple, per night, for travel through December 20, 2011.

A romantic adults-only resort, The Jewel Dunn’s River Beach Resort & Spa invites couples to enjoy its Just For the Two of You promotion with code 4FREE. This special includes a fourth night free; guided tour of Dunn’s River Falls; and fun amenities such as dive-in movies, best viewed from a pool raft. Rates start at $348 per couple, per night, tax and service charges included. Reservations must be made by January 31 for stays until September 30, 2011; a four-night minimum stay is required.

The elegant Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in the heart of New Kingston is favored by dignitaries and royalty. The Pegasus Valentine’s Package, at a rate of $260 per couple, including tax and service charges, covers luxury accommodations; a romantic dinner; buffet breakfast the following morning; and a special in-room surprise. Reservations must be made by February 10, 2011.

The One Love Romantic Escape at Round Hill Hotel & Villas offers three nights priced from $2,250 per couple, plus tax and service charges. Included are luxurious accommodations in a Full Oceanfront Room; private round-trip airport transfers; welcome package with bottle of Jamaican Appleton Rum, fresh tropical fruits and flowers; daily breakfast; a private chef-designed romantic dinner with paired wines…and more. Nestled in Jamaica’s majestic Blue Mountains, Strawberry Hill Hotel & Resort is offering its Strawberry Hill Romance Package, including three nights in an elegant suite with private balcony; a bottle of champagne on arrival; special spa treatments; and all meals and beverages. Rates are from $3,388 per couple now through April 19, 2011; and from $2,695 per couple from April 20 through December 19, 2011. An additional 20-percent tax and service charge applies.

The Valentine’s Weekend package at Two Seasons Guest House in Treasure Beach offers guests an affordable rate of $80 per couple, per night, including breakfast. Available February 11, 12 and 13, 2011, this package includes a welcome cocktail, chocolates, and a rose on arrival. The package must be booked by February 6.

Jakes, a boutique hotel located in Treasure Beach, invites couples to unwind and reconnect with its Brew Love This February package. Included are three nights’ accommodations in a deluxe honeymoon suite; a bottle of red wine; two soothing welcome foot ceremonies; and 20 percent off all couple’s spa treatments. Rates start at $389 per night, and the package includes accommodations; breakfast for two in Horizons restaurant; Chef’s-choice welcome amenity; and a bottle of champagne on arrival. Tax and service charges are additional, and the package must be booked by April 30, 2011.

Dolphin Cove, a marine park where visitors can interact with dolphins, sharks, stingrays, and exotic birds and reptiles, is offering free admission to Dunn’s River Falls with the purchase of any program at the Ocho Rios location. Reservations are required and must be booked by February 12 for visits through February 13, 2011.

At Foote Prints on the Sands, a boutique hotel located on the world-famous Negril Beach, couples can enjoy the Love is in the Air package. The package includes a complimentary bottle of champagne, and is priced at $80 per room, per night, including tax.

Tower Cloisters, a resort condominium property in Ocho Rios, is offering a Valentine’s Fantasy package that includes: two nights/three days in a one-bedroom suite with private balcony and sea views; fruit-and-wine basket; and breakfast for two each morning. The package cost is $290, including tax and service charges.
