Jamaica’s resort capital Montego Bay will play host to the 10th Annual Jamaica Meetings Expo (JAMEX) at the Ritz-Carlton Golf & Spa Resort, Rose Hall from June 3-7, 2010. The one-of-a-kind expo will feature numerous opportunities for meeting planners to experience Jamaica’s diverse offerings for the Meetings, Incentive, Corporate and Event (MICE) market. Additionally, attendees will have a sneak peek into the future of meetings in Jamaica with a special preview of the Convention Centre which is set to open at the end of 2010.
“JAMEX 2010 is the ideal opportunity for qualified meeting professionals to learn about Jamaica’s unique facilities, new developments and enhancements to the country’s infrastructure from knowledgeable suppliers,” said John Lynch, Jamaica’s Director of Tourism. “During the program, meeting professionals will participate in site visits and develop new ideas and relationships that will lead to better business and better events.”
JAMEX 2010 will feature a pre-scheduled appointment-based trade show bringing together participating planners with local hoteliers, Destination Management Companies (DMCs) and off-site venues, providing an opportunity to put Jamaica’s diverse product offerings on display. The program also includes networking events and meal functions, site visits to hotels, unique team-building activities and excursions to iconic attractions, shopping and more.
Participation in JAMEX is by invitation of the Jamaica Tourist Board, in association with tourism industry partners. Meeting and incentive travel professionals with key purchasing roles are encouraged to submit their application to attend. Registration for JAMEX 2010 includes complimentary hotel accommodations, ground transportation, all meals and event materials. Air transportation will be the responsibility of each attendee.
