This winter, Jamaica is offering an inspired range of seasonal packages for distinctive weddings and honeymoons with an irresistible mix of luxury and value. Prices quoted are in USD.

At Foote Prints on the Sands, a boutique hotel on Negril’s seven-mile beach, the Wedding in Paradise package includes: minister’s fee; marriage license; wedding cake; bottle of champagne; bridal bouquet and groom’s boutonniere for $1,000. This package must be booked one month in advance.

Hotel Grace at Richmond Hill, an 18th-century Great House, is offering the Grace’s Delight package through 2011. Included are: minister’s services; cake; champagne; bridal party flowers; and more. The cost is $800 for a party of 10, and accommodations run $80 per room plus tax, based on double occupancy. Weddings booked three months in advance receive a 15 percent discount.

Island Routes Caribbean Adventure Tours offers innovative custom-designed wedding events with exciting options that include arrival of the bride and groom in a private helicopter and exchanging vows afloat a bamboo raft on the Great River.

The Wedding and Honeymoon package at the family-owned Jamaica Inn in Ocho Rios is available now through April 15, 2011. Included are: daily breakfast and intimate dinners; wedding cake specially made just for two; sparkling wine; wedding photo album; minister’s fee and more. The cost per couple for seven days/six nights is $6,409, with additional nights available at a rate of $835 per room, plus tax and service. Restrictions apply.

Hotel Mocking Bird Hill in Port Antonio reflects a philosophy of sustainable tourism with its Intimate Wedding Ceremony package, which features tropical flower bouquets and cuisine prepared from locally sourced ingredients. The cost per couple is $1,386 and includes: wedding planner; photography; floral arrangements; bouquet and boutonniere; and romantic four-course dinner. This package is inclusive of tax but not of service. Guests can book their preferred room separately online.

A Beautiful Beginnings Wedding, one of six Sandals’ Weddings by Martha Stewart™ themes, is free with a minimum six-night stay in a Concierge category room or higher at any of Jamaica’s Luxury Included® Sandals Resorts. The package includes: accommodations; personal wedding consultant; continental breakfast in bed; two-tier wedding cake; sparkling wine; bouquet and boutonniere; and reception table for four. All-inclusive rates begin at $1,000, per person, per night. Optional Finishing Touches are available at extra cost.

With a Sunset Wedding package at any of Jamaica’s Couples Resorts, a ceremony at the sunset hour creates a memorable event that lasts into the evening. The package includes: wedding coordinator; minister and photography service; wedding cake and champagne; photos and album; and a special breakfast in bed the following morning. This year-round package is priced at $890, inclusive of tax, plus a $200 government processing fee.  

Half Moon’s Allure package is both luxurious and priced for value. Weddings come together flawlessly at this five-star resort with a personal wedding planner; professional salon services for the bride; photography; flower arrangements; cocktail hour; customized buffet or plated dinner menu; three-tiered cake; professional musician and DJ; and more. Package is priced at $17,000 for 50 guests and $13,500 for 30.

RIU Montego Bay offers value and luxury with its Free Limited Edition. Included are: on-site wedding planner; dinner at one of RIU’s specialty restaurants; wedding cake and sparkling wine; 10 percent discount on all spa treatments for bride, groom and guests; special decorations … and more. This package is available through 2011. A minimum reservation of five rooms and a three-night stay at the hotel is required.

Dolphin Cove provides pre- or post-wedding fun with its Wedding Party Special. Guests can encounter and swim with dolphins, stingrays, sharks and other exotic marine life. One out of every 10 members of a wedding party enjoys free access to any one Dolphin Cove activity; offered through 2011 at both Ocho Rios and Negril locations. Rates for activities start at $31 for adults and $22 for children, plus tax and admission. Prices vary at each location.
