Jamaica Impact, Inc. (JAMPACT) is pleased to announce the launch of its Shoe Box School Supply and Toy Drive in support of our four (4) adopted basic schools in Jamaica.
The Shoe Box Drive will be executed in New York and donors will be asked to pack a shoe box with school supplies and a toy for the children (ages 3-5) in the schools. School supplies should be relevant to the basic school curriculum with items such as:
* Coloring books
* Crayons
* Markers
* Pencils
* Sketch pads
* Play dough
* Paint and paint brushes
* Age appropriate reading materials
* Craft supplies.
* Age appropriate toy
There will be several drop-off locations throughout the New York City area and all boxes should be wrapped and ready for shipping to Jamaica by:
November 21, 2008.
Drop-off locations will continuously be updated and posted on JAMPACT’s website and announced in our weekly update.

With the assistance of the Atlanta-based organization, United for Jamaica, shoe box gifts will be presented at our Annual Christmas Treats, which will take place in Kingston, Jamaica. We encourage our members to spread the word about this initiative and to appeal to their various sources for support. With our consolidated efforts, we hope to make this year’s Christmas Treat a huge success and an unforgettable experience for our worthy basic school children.
