JAMPACT To Host 3rd Annual Fundraiser And Fashion Gala, May 14, 2011

On Saturday, May 14, 2011 from 8:00 – 11:00 p.m., Jamaica Impact Inc. (JAMPACT) will host its 3rd annual fundraiser and fashion gala: A Call to Be CHIC: Charitable. Hopeful. Impactful. Classy. at The powerHouse Arena in Brooklyn, NY. A Call to Be C.H.I.C. takes the form of a cocktail reception and fashion gala. Guests will be feted with entertaining music, food and beverage. The entertainment also includes a special fashion showcase by emerging and top designers, as well as a silent auction. The night promises to be exquisitely entertaining and interactive.

The event hopes to raise public awareness of JAMPACT and their mission to make positive contributions towards the improvement of social and economic conditions in Jamaica. 

Advance regular admission tickets are $100 and I Am C.H.I.C (VIP) tickets are $125 (donations accepted). Proceeds from the fashion gala will benefit JAMPACT’S Maxfield Park Basic School rebuilding project and the Adopt-a-School Program which provides financial and in-kind support to early childhood institutions located in some of Kingston, Jamaica’s challenged inner-city communities.  The young children of Maxfield Park Basic School, who are also wards of the state, are being taught in a sub-standard, termite infested building in serious disrepair. The event will help to raise the much needed funds to building an adequately equipped learning institution.
