This spring JAMPACT will be having our Women’s month celebration on Sunday, March 25, 2007 at Blue Mahoe , 243 East 14 St, NYC. The event is a fundraiser in support of maintaining and improving the infrastructure of our basic schools. Many of the schools need new equipment such as desks and chairs for the students and others need to repair leaking roofs. It is a great opportunity to get together with friends and family in support of a good cause. We are asking that you invite your friends and family to join you in attending this event.
There will be a fashion show featuring three talented Jamaican designers: Indigo, The Eye Collection and JamLocks. There will also be live steel pan music and top class Jamaican cuisine. Special Guest: Laura E Johnson author of Born As a Sufferer. There will also be a silent auction with artwork from Paul Blackwood. Join us in celebrating Women’s month and celebrate our Jamaican women and their contributions to their communities.
Tickets are $50 ( FASHION, FOOD, MUSIC and A GOOD CAUSE included)
