A Women’s History Month Celebration with Caribbean Women and the Business of Art
Come celebrate with talented Caribbean artists at the Caribbean Women’s Marketplace and forum discussion on Sunday, March 13th. Come shop for clothing, books, jewelry, and artwork made by talented Caribbean women at the marketplace, and then relax, enjoy complimentary refreshments, and listen to a lively discussion moderated by Sharon Gordon, renowned journalist and editor of Kujit Magazine, featuring:

* Susan Olton Kennedy–award winning Trinidadian actress/comedian and co-founder of the Caribbean Cultural Theatre
* Michelle “Shelly Thunder” Harrison—ever-popular Jamaican deejay/songwriter turned actress whose hit 1988 hit “Kuff” propelled her to international fame in the male dominated Dancehall industry
* Claudette Spence–journalist, educator, community activist and author of Nurturing the Garden of Joy-Provocative Essays on Relationships

Patrice Johnson– Jamaican-born director of the documentary Kings County, and the upcoming feature film, The Laundromat.
