Kingston, December 12 Mrs. Patricia Francis, President of JAMPRO, recently won an award at the Caribbean-Central American Action – 29th Miami Conference on the Caribbean Basin, held in Miami, Florida, December 5 – 7.
The award was presented in “Recognition of outstanding leadership and support of our advocacy for the Caribbean-Central American Action.”
The conference this year was held under the theme “A prosperous third border” addressed the current prospects for improving the economic well being of the people living and working in Central America and the Caribbean.
The President also participated in a discussion on “Environment as a Competitive Advantage” which was moderated by a member of the Organisation of American States.
Attending the conference too was Chairman, Joseph A. Matalon who took part in a discussion on the Focus on the CARICOM – CSME.
