IRAWMA welcomes JAMRUSS Productions as sponsor for the Best New Entertainer 2012, in the 32nd annual International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) scheduled for Saturday, May 4th, 2013, at the prestigious Coral Springs Center for the Arts, 2855 Coral Springs Drive, in Coral Springs/Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The Best New Entertainer nominees are: Chronixx, Wyre, Cen’C Love, No-Maddz, Potential Kid, Tommy Lee Sparta and D-Major. All the nominees for the 2013 IRAWMA were officially released from WAVS 1170 AM- JAMUSA show on Wednesday, February 27.
Leading the list of nominees are Mr. Vegas with six, Damian Marley with five and Sean Paul, Konshens, Romain Virgo and Third World with four, Jimmy Cliff, Marcia Griffiths, Tarrus Riley and Busy Signal all sharing three nominations. In February JAMRUSS Productions presented its annual Foundation Splash, a Reggae Vintage Showcase which featured some of Jamaica’s veteran artists, such as: U-Roy, Brigadier Jerry, General Trees and other reggae legends.
Shortly thereafter Ms. Russell went to Jamaica and presented part of the proceeds to Hayes Primary School in Hayes, Clarendon.

Following the Awards, she will be hosting an After Awards birthday party, at the Reggae Village downtown, Fort Lauderdale.
The 2013 Lifetime/ Hall of Famers are Derrick “Ducky” Simpson – Black Uhuru, Denver “JAMUSA” Silvera, Edward Seaga, Lloyd “Joe Fraser” Campbell, and Inner Circle. Martin’s International-IRAWMA Award of Honor will be presented to producer Donovan Germain, event marketing specialist Carson “Eddy” Edwards, controversial radio host Bevan “Duke of Earle” Earle and promoter Arthur Lugisse. South Florida-based Willie Lindo, Winsome Charlton and Vonnie McGowan will also be recognized for their more than 40 years of contribution to the music industry.
