1. AGM (Nov. 5)
2. Sunday Brunch with a Jamaican theme at the Intercontinental Hotel (Sun. Nov. 20th)
A Jamaican-themed brunch will be held at the Intercontinental Hotel Woods Restaurant, in collaboration with the Mission of Jamaica, on Sunday, November 20, 2011, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with input by Jamaican chef Colin Brown. Cost: CHF70 per person
If you are interested, please reply to this email by November 11 indicating your interest and number of persons attending so we can communicate the likely number to the hotel. Nevertheless, the Sunday brunch is a regular public event hosted by the hotel.
3. Art exhibition of Jamaican artists Michael Escoffery and Gene Pearson at WIPO (November 21, 2011 onwards)
A one-week exhibition displaying the art work of Jamaican artists Michael Escoffery and Gene Pearson will be mounted at the World Intellectual Property Organization headquarters, 34, chemin des Colombettes, CH-1211 Geneva 20, as of November 21, 2011 for one week.
4. 41st UN Women’s Guild Bazaar (Tuesday, November 22, 2011)
The 2011 UN Women’s Guild Bazaar will be held at the Palais des Nations, United Nations, Pregny Gate, door 40, on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jamaica will be presenting a food stall this year, organised by Mrs. Jennifer McCook, wife of His Excellency, Ambassador Wayne McCook.
As usual, the UN Women’s Guild will be raffling a car. The Jamaican food stand will also be raffling a gift basket for purchasers of food items in order to enhance the appeal of our stand.
