Jazz FM presents Aswad live at the Jazz Café on Wednesday March 24th marking the first in a series of monthly gigs presented by Jazz FM at this iconic London venue.
After fifteen albums and two decades, Aswad, Britain’s best-loved reggae band, are still going strong. In 2009 the band returned to the studio for the first time in ten years. The long-awaited new album, City Lock, was hailed by Echoes magazine as their best since Rise & Shine. Aswad, Drummie Zeb (on vocals and drums) and Gad (on bass, keyboards and vocals), are renowned for their feel-good vibes, uplifting vocal style and positive reggae baselines.
The Jazz Café gig will showcase material from City Lock as well as classic tracks from Aswad’s 20-year career.
The Jazz FM Ticket Presale for Aswad live at the Jazz Café opens on Thursday 4 February at 10AM so be sure to book your tickets and get some reggae sunshine to beat those winter blues and bring in the spring.
