JCDC Festival Song Featured In ‘Home Again’

The movie ‘Home Again’ which premiered in Jamaica on Monday, September 16 features a song from the 2010 Jamaica Festival Song album – Jamaican Patriots entitled “Welcome to Jamaica” as a part of its soundtrack. The song was written and performed by Dennard ‘Marvillus’ Morgan from St. Thomas. The song is featured in the scene where the lead actor comes off the plane having arrived in Jamaica. The movie also stars one of JCDC’s top speech medalist, Kadeem Wilson.

The JCDC celebrates 50 years this year and remains true to its current mission, under the direction of the Ministry of Youth & Culture, to unearth, develop, showcase and promote our rich culture. For the past 50 years, the agency has provided many of its participants with career opportunities from the exposure and training they received through the Arts Development programmes.
