The semi-final round of the JCDC 2014 Jamaica Gospel Song Competition will be held on Ash Wednesday, March 5 at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre , 36 Hope Road, Kingston 10 starting at 6: 00 p.m. This will be held under the theme “Moving Forward”. The 32 gospel hopefuls selected from the four eliminations held across the island will perform their original entries for a panel of judges.
The semi-final will take the form of a concert with special guest artistes, Miriam Hibbert and Ancient Priest the 2nd & 3rd place winners from 2012 along with the 2nd and 3rd place winners of the 2013 competition, Vennica Nicholson and Leroy “Minister Songbird” Richards.
Admission is free and persons are encouraged to take along a donation for a child such as toys, clothes, books, toiletries or any non-perishable food items.
