Caribbean cuisine
With chefs competing against each other to produce the best jerk dish, it’s a given that the Jerk Cookout London event will have plenty of mouth watering morsels just waiting for you to sink your teeth into. A range of cultural food stalls will also be set up in Brockwell Park so that all ages can enjoy a taste of the Caribbean.
Jamaican tradition
One of the most well known and beloved Caribbean dishes, jerk traditionally features meat dry rubbed or marinated in the super hot Jamaican jerk spice mixture. Street jerk stands might be a common sight in Jamaica, but if you’re not going to make it all the way across the Atlantic this summer, you can still sample some authentic Caribbean cuisine in Brockwell Park during the Jerk Cookout.
London festival
As well as the chance to sample some first class jerked meat, families can also bring along their own picnic and enjoy a day of free entertainment during the Jerk Cookout London event in Brockwell Park. There’s salsa and a selection of live music from around the world, as well as entertainers for the kids.
