JNAF Celebrated their 35th Anniversary  with a Scholarship and Community Service Award Banquet on November 17th,

Attended by Vice Deputy Consul General Sharon Burrell  delivering message from Consul  General Oliver Mair. JNAF’s President Howard read PM of Jamaica  Andrew Holness, ON, MP message.

Vice Mayor Howard Berger (Lauderhill ), Com. Dale Holness (Broward county), Com. Alexandra Davis (Miramar), and Vice Mayor (Miramar) all came out to support their cause  for giving back to the community. Oliver Samuels was in attendance too. Mister of ceremony Marie Gill. Caribbean Airlines donated door prizes.

Awards: Livingston Yap of LEASA Industries received Community service award and Superintendent Runcie for outstanding contribution to education.  Guest Speaker Oliver Falloon-Reid (Doctorial student of St. Thomas University) for community service contribution.

Scholarship recipients: Sandra Clameus  (Nurse student) of St. Thomas University, USA.

Recipients of Founder Joyce Harris-Wright’s Scholarship  went to Desmond Campbell of UWI, and Ruschelle MacFarlane of Knox College in  selected by the Nurses’ Association in Jamaica (NAJ).

Proceeds from the event supports JNAF community projects locally and internationally like: Annual scholarships,  health fair, back to school projects, medical  mission trips, and disaster relief projects.
