LOCATION: Ministry of Health, Medical Waste Management Unit, Kingston
DESCRIPTION: Manage petty cash imprest system; Collect revenue by hand or through the Value Book; Issue official receipts for monies collected; Compile and make lodgments to MOH and maintain file; Prepare payment requisitions and submit to MOH Accounts Department; Maintain custody and issue suppliers and staff checks; Prepare customer invoices and maintain file (paper and electronic); Follow-up with MOH Accounts Department to ensure timely preparation of purchase orders and payment check; Make entries and maintain Financial Management Information System; Prepare monthly financial status reports
QUALIFICATIONS: Five (5) CXC/CAPE subjects, including Mathematics or Accounts and English; Training in Basic Accounting – Plus; At least (1) year working experience in the accounting field; Further information on the positions may be obtained from the Ministry’s website at http://moh.gov.jm
