JOB TITLE: Attorney-at-Law

LOCATION:  Guardian General Insurance Jamaica Limited, Kingston

DESCRIPTION: Responsible for assisting with reviewing legal claims and providing advice or taking appropriate actions to impel prudent settlement of such claims in keeping with the Company’s established guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Laws credential; Be a member of the Jamaican Bar and be practicing Law in Jamaica for at least one (1) year; Facility with the Claims and Legal processes sufficient to effect the job functions; At least one year’s experience in a law firm, Legal and/or Claims Department engaged in settling claims; Excellent human relations and organizational skills; Sound research and analytical skills; Strong negotiating skills; Possess excellent problem solving ability, be results oriented and decisive; Possess excellent service skills and be able to build and sustain business relationships; Must be self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team; Working knowledge of computer applications including MS Word and Excel
