JOB TITLE: Business Auditor

LOCATION:  Grace Kennedy. Kingston

DESCRIPTION: Assisting with the planning, coordination and performance of financial, information technology or operational audit assignments in accordance with Group Internal Audit standards; Utilizing a risk based approach to identify control issues and working with the business to agree practical solutions for improving the control environment; Managing or working independently on multiple projects while developing expertise in key functions in line with business needs and individual career objectives. Evaluating the internal audit environment by utilizing a governance framework such as COSO to identify control gaps related to financial reporting, operational efficiencies or compliance with laws and regulations

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or ACCA/CPA accreditation is required; however a Master’s degree is desirable; Professional certification such as Certified Information Auditor (CIA) along with proficiency with computer assisted audit techniques (CAATs) and Audit Command Language (ACL) are considered to be assets; Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in conducting financial and/or operational audits in an international, internal/external audit, and/or large complex company environment; Experience in auditing financial services in particular, commercial and investment banking; Excellent organizational skills enabling management of concurrent assignments; Ability to meet deadlines whilst ensuring quality results; Strong technical and auditing skills; Possess proficient understanding of data analysis tools such as ACL, and application of financial and operational analytics; An ability to gather, analyze and evaluate facts and to prepare and present concise oral and written reports; Highly competent possessing the following skills sets – customer relations; interpersonal relationship management; negotiation; and having the ability to work well in teams; High levels of achievement orientation, initiative, professionalism, confidentiality, personal ethics and ability to engender trust at all levels
