JOB TITLE:  Committee Clerk (GMG/AM 4)

LOCATION:  Houses of Parliament, Kingston

DESCRIPTION:  Organize and provide technical, procedural and administrative support to the Select Committees of the Houses of Parliament; Organize and service Committee meetings by summoning resource personnel or representatives of interested organizations; Reproduce and maintain reports of the proceedings and interpret the Standing Orders and rules governing the Committees; Discuss with Legislative Counsel the preparation of reports on Bills; Prepare and table reports of Committees in the House of Representatives; Collate, analyze, evaluate and record all pertinent information of the Committees

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science in Public Administration, Economics, Political Science or equivalent; A minimum of two (2) years relevant working experience; Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Experience in the field of research and report writing; Knowledge of Parliamentary matters and affairs would be an asset; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Excellent planning and organizational skills; Excellent analytical skills; Ability to meet deadlines; Excellent interpersonal skills
