LOCATION: Jamaica Public Service Company, Kingston
DESCRIPTION: Executing various public relations activities aimed at creating, maintaining and enhancing the company’s corporate image within the region; Plan and execute community relation projects that will support our system loss mitigation initiatives; Plan public relations activities aimed at enhancing the company’s corporate image within the region; Initiate contact with community leaders/organizations, and conduct sensitization meetings regarding JPS plan for communities in relation to its loss reduction activities; Identify and discuss with manager in the region, suitable and cost-effective community outreach projects
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors of Science degree in a Behavioral Science or equivalent qualifications; Training in the Principles of Social Work; At least three (3) years experience in public or community relations and social work; Customer orientation; Organizational awareness; Analytical thinking and problem solving skills; Good communication (oral, written, presentation) skills; Emotional intelligence and interpersonal awareness; Change orientation and time management; Partnering & Collaboration; Result orientation; Accountability; Leadership; Integrity; Safety & Environmental Awareness
