Deputy Chief of Security
LOCATION: Post and Telecommunications Department, Kingston
DESCRIPTION: Assisting with securing and managing the Department’s physical and digital security; Oversee and coordinate security efforts across the Department.; Assist with devising policies and procedures regarding loss and fraud prevention and privacy; Conduct assessments on the Security Systems and Guard Services at Post Offices island-wide; Identify security initiatives and standards; Oversee/Supervise the network of vendors and officers who secure the Department’s assets; Assist with the development of procedures to ensure physical safety of employees and visitors; Assist with the management of the development and implementation of security policy, standards, guidelines and procedures; Ensure security is maintained and updated; Create workplace violence awareness and prevention programs; Assist with the monitoring and maintenance of video surveillance; Participates in the revision of investigation files; Maintain relationships with local law enforcement and other related Government Agencies; Develop emergency procedures and incident responses; Investigate security breaches and provide reports; Conduct audits on security platform; Promote and implement the philosophy and practices of Postal Security
QUALIFICATIONS: First Degree in Management Studies, Business Administration or equivalent; Training in Security Management & Intelligence Methodology; Training in Criminal Justice/Police Science would be an asset; Supervisory Management training; Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Three (3) years experience in the Security field
