LOCATION: Office of the Cabinet, Kingston

DESCRIPTION: Of the Office of Utilities Regulation (OUR): Three (3) year term under the OUR Act; Ensure the necessary systems and procedures needed to effectively monitor regulated utilities are developed, established and operated in a transparent manner in accordance with enabling legislation and written policy guidelines as may be provided by the Cabinet Office; Advising the respective Government Ministers on policies relating to utilities regulation; Co-operating and maintaining good relationships with other regulatory agencies (both local and overseas), impacting on the operations of public utilities; Maintaining a good relationship with general public

QUALIFICATIONS: Wide experience in regulatory affairs, government and commerce, ideally in Jamaica; Ability to present and negotiate at the highest level; Ability to develop and motivate staff; Educated to post graduate level in engineering, law, economics, financial management or business; More than twenty years of senior management experience in a utility regulatory body of academic environment
