LOCATION: Jamaica Library Service, Kingston
DESCRIPTION: To plan, direct and administer all the Information Technology development, maintenance and operations activities to support the organization’s needs.
QUALIFICATIONS: Post graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or a related discipline; Certification in one or more of the following: information systems, information security and networking; Experience in the analysis of user requirements and the design and implementation of computer systems; Proven knowledge and expertise in project development/management and budget preparation; Minimum of 5 years experience in the computer information systems operations of a multi-divisional organization with at least two (2) years at the middle management level; Sound knowledge of current advances and emerging technology in the fields of telecommunications and computer networks relating to enterprise architecture, design, implementation, security, network operating system platform and management enterprises database management systems and software systems development; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Knowledge of the practices and principles of management and the structures and systems of library operation would be an asset.
