LOCATION: Kingston Wharves, Kingston
DESCRIPTION: Maintains all container handling equipment, utility motor vehicles, and miscellaneous equipment as per manufacturer’s specifications; Minimize downtime of equipment by developing speedy and effective solutions for malfunctions; Generate detailed shift and monthly reports on terminal equipment; Coordinate shift maintenance activities; Generate spare parts listing for procurement.
QUALIFICATIONS: Diploma in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent; Minimum 3-5 years experience in an electrical engineering environment especially with mobile electrical systems; Sound knowledge of automated control (PLC) and power systems; Must be computer literate; Possess a valid General Driver’s License. Knowledge of the shipping industry would be an asset; Excellent time management skills; Effective oral and written communication skills; Be passionate about customer service; Excellent human relations skills and ability to work in a team environment; Excellent problem solving, analytical and decision making skills; Ability to work under pressure
