Fiscal Policy Specialist
LOCATION: Caribbean Community Secretariat, Guyana
DESCRIPTION: To provide technical and administrative support to the Economic Development Policy, Tax Administration and Research Program in the execution of the fiscal policy coordination sub-project of specifically the Economic Integration Component of the 10th EDF Program and the related Secretariat work program. The job spans: providing advice on fiscal policy; assisting in the efficient and timely coordination of project activities; undertaking research on issues related to the coordination of fiscal policy in the Caribbean Community; preparing papers and disseminating research results as required; and facilitating regional technical meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates should possess at least a Master’s Degree in Economics plus at least eight (8) years’ relevant working experience particularly related to formulation or implementation of fiscal policy in any one or a combination of the following types of organizations: Ministry of Finance, Planning or Economic Development, Central Bank Research Department, Any regional institution involved in economic development. Candidates should also have a proven sense of initiative and results orientation; strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills; as well as effective organizational and teamwork skills, demonstrated knowledge of the economic integration process in the Caribbean Community.
