DESCRIPTION: Ensure all cooling and heating systems within the Company’s central offices, buildings, point of presence and other fixed facilities are kept to optimal standards; Installation, maintenance and repairs of these systems; Coordinate with assigned foreman and/or other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently; Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment; Carry out system repairs and maintenance; Fabricate equipment parts for the purpose of meeting specialty needs and/or replacing unavailable parts; Maintain and comply with building and safety regulations; Inspection of HVAC systems and their components (e.g. heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, etc.) for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs and recommending preventive maintenance; Install heating and air conditioning equipment and systems for the purpose of providing enhanced and/or upgraded capabilities; Perform routine and preventive maintenance as needed for the purpose of ensuring the ongoing functioning of HVAC systems; Repair heating and air conditioning systems and/or components (e.g. pumps, motors, air handlers, fan, coils, piping, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring a comfortable work environment; Respond to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns
QUALIFICATIONS: Diploma/Certificate in Industrial/Commercial Refrigeration; At least 10 years hands on experience in repairs and installation of commercial HVAC systems and controls; Strong communication skills; Able to motivate and strongly influence others; Attention to detail; Flexible and embraces change; Computer literate, proficient in MS Word, Windows and Excel; Possess a valid general driver’s license
