Information & Documentation Officer

LOCATION: National Solid Waste Management Authority, Kingston

DESCRIPTION: Accountable for the development, maintenance and management of a computerized filing and documentation service for the National Solid Waste Management Authority; To provide users with the information, records or documentation needed promptly; Ensuring that the storage is properly secured, and to eliminate multiple repositories and systems for records.

QUALIFICATIONS: BSc. Degree in Library Science, Information Systems or a related field; or BSc. Degree in Arts or Social Sciences with Diploma or Certificate in Library Science, Records Management, Information Systems or related discipline; At least three (3) years’ professional experience in Librarianship, Records Management of Information Management; Computer Literacy in respect of Microsoft Office; Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form; Strong human relations skills; Sound negotiation skills; An effective decision maker; Knowledge of civil security requirements
