JOB TITLE: Liaison/Program Associate

LOCATION:  UNDP, Kingston

DESCRIPTION: Provide administrative support to the Justice Canada team under the direction of the Program Manager, including logistical and administrative support to the Program Director; Monitor ongoing reform efforts in Jamaica (i.e. Justice Undertakings for Social Transformation (JUST) Program carried out by entities other than Justice Canada, and any other justice reform activities), and provide information on these efforts, so as to facilitate coordination with Justice Canada activities; Support the Justice Canada Program Director’s monitoring and reporting duties in relation to program governing documents, including assisting in revising those documents as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Public Administration, Project Management, Social Sciences, International Relations, Political Sciences or related field; Five to seven years of experience in the areas of administration and project development, including financial/budget management, procurement, and reporting; Knowledge of corporate procurement and financial rules and regulations; Knowledge of Jamaican government systems and protocols; Knowledge and management experience with project management methodologies including results-based management and change management; Knowledge of development policies and priorities, including aid effectiveness (an asset); Hands-on experience in development and management of international development assistance (donor-funded) projects and/or contracts (an asset); Experience in the use of computers and office software packages, i.e Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point); Knowledge of an ERP such as people soft or SAP a plus; Fluency in spoken and written English.
