Maintenance Manager
LOCATION: Island Grill, Kingston
DESCRIPTION: Overseeing and leading all aspects of maintenance operations including optimizing the storage and cost management of spare parts management, team member safety, superior customer service to your internal customers; Provide leadership to the department to develop and manage maintenance team; Lead and participate in all major repairs and maintenance projects; Recommend ways to increase productivity levels/performance through knowledge of formal continuous improvement methodology; Develop and manage department budget and all financial aspects of the department including project estimates; Develop and maintain long-term strategic plan that includes equipment replacement and productivity improvement/cost savings; Coordinate, plan and develop contingency plans with the Operations Team in order to minimize operational interruptions in the event of equipment breakdowns; Assign calls to the various departments and engineers on a timely basis; Update the different locations periodically on all outstanding jobs; Identify priority areas and appropriate resources to meet deadlines and standards; Monitor the technicians to ensure assigned calls are complete; Maintain updated list of suppliers and continue to build supplier relationship; Maintain updated list of regularly used spare parts; Source parts at competitive prices; Maintain proper records of equipment by location, performance of equipment by location and expenditure by equipment by location; Sign off on all purchase orders for maintenance department
QUALIFICATIONS: University degree in Electrical Engineering; Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; Great organizational skills and the ability to prioritize well; Strong problem solving skills; Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, construction drawings, machine manuals, electrical blueprints/electrical schematics; Strong technical troubleshooting skills; Occasional traveling is required; Must have flexibility to work as it becomes necessary.
