LOCATION: Jamaica Flour Mills Limited. Kingston
DESCRIPTION: Overall responsibility for the Physical, Electrical and Instrumentation condition of the plant and all matters that impact the safe, efficient, and effective operation of the maintenance effort; Maximize production time available on equipment, minimize upkeep costs, and control expenditures related to equipment, spare parts, and consumable items; Supports the plant operational effort and must provide high quality repairs and maintenance services that optimize the up-time of a highly complex Milling facility; Managing people, fixed assets, and processes to result in safe work life, sustainable, and efficient operation of the department; As senior plant leadership, the Maintenance Superintendent’s actions, attitudes and decisions directly impact the operation of the department; Supporting the vision and discipline needed to become a world class operation; Actively seeks to positively promote and seek ways to support all of ADM’s effort; At all times work and base all decisions, actions, and direction of reports in the best interest of the company. This position requires standing and walking for long periods, climbing stairs and ladders, working with tools, working within close-confined spaces, and working within extreme temperatures.
QUALIFICATIONS: Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with at least seven (7) to ten (10) years related experience in a Food Grade Operation, Grain Processing or Cereal Milling; An excellent command of the following: leadership, problem solving, self-motivation, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and Outlook); A confident and courteous manner with a strong commitment to employee safety; Well developed time management and communication skills – both oral and detailed written are needed to be effective in this position; Possess superb leadership, technically savvy, winning determination and have expertise to set and obtain departmental goals in accordance to the plant goals and vision; Must possess the highest dedication, committed to Safety, Quality and Workmanship.
