JOB TITLE: Manager
LOCATION: Victoria Mutual Building Society, Kingston
DESCRIPTION: Administer activities necessary to maintain harmonious and progressive employee relations within the Victoria Mutual Group; Lead the development and negotiation of all Collective Labor Agreements (CLAs).
QUALIFICATIONS: First Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent; Minimum of five (5) years’ progressively responsible industrial relations experience, with three (3) years at the management level; Certification, Industrial Relations; Thorough knowledge of practices and principles pertaining to the industrial relations profession with a proven track record for keeping current with employee and industrial relations trends; Excellent knowledge of the collective bargaining process with extensive experience in negotiating labor contracts and the administration of CLAs; Proven expertise in promoting a positive and progressive employee relations climate; Sound experience in grievance and disciplinary procedures; Excellent conflict resolution, arbitration, collaboration and consultative skills with proven ability to effectively manage adversarial and confrontational situations; Strong results orientation with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines; Effective written and oral communication skills as well as sound listening and comprehension skills; Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
