JOB TITLE: Mechanical Engineer

LOCATION:  Massy Gas Products (Jamaica) Limited. Kingston

DESCRIPTION: Design and manage the safe and timely completion and commissioning of all new bulk LPG installations at customer sites island-wide; Provision of technical support to the sales team and customers as and when required; Design and implement preventive maintenance systems to ensure optimum uptime at all Commercial sites and Filling Plants; Lead team of technicians and external contractors to ensure effective and efficient response to customer complaints and emergencies, and the timely completion of all jobs within budgetary constraints; Ensure that design, operation and maintenance standards are upheld; Manage capital expenditures and operating expenses within allotted areas; Maintenance of equipment database and maintenance records for customer installations and filling plants; Report to the Engineering Team Leader

QUALIFICATIONS: BSc in Mechanical Engineering; At least 4 years experience in a plant environment; Certification in AutoCAD; Knowledge of JDE or SAP would be an asset; Training in supervisory management; Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Project as well as Excel and Power Point; Strong Project Management skills; Ability to manage large budgets; Excellent interpersonal skills; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Proven customer relationship management skills; Must be a good team-player; Must be the owner of a reliable motor vehicle and be willing to travel extensively intra-island. One candidate will be based at our office in Freeport, Montego Bay while the other will be at the company’s head office in Kingston.
