DESCRIPTION: Responsible for performing nursing duties in the treatment and care of residents; Assists in the daily care of residents; Administers drugs and medicines in a timely manner as directed; Performs weekly wound care for residents, noting changes that require urgent medical attention; Observes, records and reports vital signs, symptom changes or reaction to medication to the Nursing Supervisor or Medical Doctor; Assists in the rehabilitation and therapy of residents
QUALIFICATIONS: Certificate in Practical Nursing; Training in Geriatric Nursing; Knowledgeable and experienced in Medication Administration and Wound Care; Three (3) years experience working in the field; Knowledgeable in recognizing and evaluating the health needs of individuals for medical intervention; Good problem solving and analytical skills; Good Listening and Counseling skills; Very good knowledge of computer applications; Applications with detailed resumes should be submitted online at www.thegoldenagehome.com
