JOB TITLE: Project Manager
LOCATION: Tourism Enhancement Fund, Kingston
DESCRIPTION: Analyze and appraise applications for funding from the Tourism Enhancement Fund including project proposals/business plans and recommend those that are suitable for approval; Participate in project design and development activities; Monitor all phases of the project cycle and report to the Director of Projects on the progress of all projects; Undertake post evaluation of completed projects.
QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BSc. Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Urban and Regional Planning, Project Management or other equivalent professional qualification; A minimum of four (4) years experience in a project/program management or quantity surveying position; Certification in Quantity Surveying would be an asset; Working knowledge of Project Management Techniques, principles and practices with an emphasis on project planning and analysis; Experience in tender planning, tender evaluation and general Procurement management; Experience in contract administration; Excellent project writing, appraisal and monitoring and evaluation skills; Working knowledge of the procurement guidelines of the Government of Jamaica; Strong analytical and problem solving skills; Ability to function in a multidisciplinary team environment
