JOB TITLE: Public Education and Public Relations Manager

LOCATION:  Trade Board Limited, Kingston

DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the dissemination of information relating to the activities of the Trade Board Limited and communicating the Company’s policies and programs; Develops and enhances the internal and external communication and information support for the organization in a cost effective manner; Promotes an effective public relations program on behalf of the Trade Board Limited; Develops programs for dissemination of information that impacts positively on the internal and external perceptions of the quality and level of performance and effectiveness of the organization; Develops and implements effective public education and internal programs; Leads and manages all public relations activities in the achievement of the strategic objectives; Liaises with the Trade Administrator/Chief Executive Officer in communicating with stakeholders, including the general public in the promotion of the Company’s activities through public education programs/seminars; Identifies and develops social programs on behalf of the Trade Board, as part of the organization’s social corporate responsibility; Formulates and presents appropriate monthly operational reports for presentation to the Trade Administrator/Chief Executive Officer, Directors and Sub Committee of the Board of Directors

QUALIFICATIONS: First Degree in Mass Communications, Public Relations or equivalent specialization; Diploma in Public Administration; minimum of five (5) yearsʼ experience in communications and/ or public relations at a senior level; Comprehensive knowledge of Public Relations and Public Administration; Excellent planning and organizational skills; Excellent interpersonal skills; Good leadership skills; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Excellent presentation skills; Proficient in the use of relevant computer applications; Ability to co-ordinate delivery of public relations programs; Ability to work in a team
