JOB TITLE: Quality Assurance Inspector
LOCATION: Coffee Industry Board (CIB)
DESCRIPTION: Monitor and maintain the integrity of the Coffee Industry Board is quality standards and to help to protect and preserve the integrity of the Jamaican coffee.
QUALIFICATIONS: Associate of Science Degree from CASE or other recognized tertiary institution with a major in Agriculture or General Science; Training/Experience in Laboratory Methods; Knowledge of agro-processing techniques, equipment and machinery; At least two (2) years experience in a similar capacity or in a quality assurance environment in the agricultural sector; Familiarity with lab practices and procedures in a quality control environment; Well developed written and oral communication skills; Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Good human relation skills. Applicants will be required to undergo training in the cup-testing of coffee. It is a requirement of the job to travel island-wide. Applicants must therefore possess a reliable motor vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
