LOCATION: North East Regional Health Authority, Ocho Rios
DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the management and supervision of nursing services within the Region; Providing professional and technical advice to various groups; Advising the Regional Technical Director of Program Development/Nursing Services matters; Conducting supervisory visits to nursing and support staff; Compiling and analyzing statistical data and utilizing the information to improve services; Planning and facilitating strategies/activities to improve immunization coverage; Guiding the smooth implementation of the Child Health and Development Passport; Assisting with training of the staff regarding the new growth Charts and the Child Health and Development
QUALIFICATIONS: Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Public Health; Certificate/Degree in Advanced Nursing Administration or Health Service Management; Registration with the Nursing Council of Jamaica as a RN/RM; Masters in Public Health; Knowledge of all aspects of community health; Knowledge of research techniques; Knowledge of pharmacology and therapeutic applications; Knowledge of fertility management; Eight (8) years working experience of which two (2) years must be post MPH qualification; Practical experience in program planning and management techniques
