Research & Development Analyst
LOCATION: Guardian Life Limited, Kingston
DESCRIPTION: Assist the Manager with the planning, coordinating, and execution of research projects; Ensuring high quality execution of research studies, especially in the field work coordination and analysis stages; Monitoring and guiding the progress of primary research studies by assisting in the preparation and administration of data collection instruments (e.g. telephone interviews, printed surveys) for research projects and ensuring data collection is completed within stipulated timelines; Assisting with the execution and analysis of focus group studies; Identifying journals and vendors supplying information on current trends and advances in market research; Creating and maintaining a database with labor market and population trends; Assisting with the execution of quantitative data analysis for primary research projects.
QUALIFICATIONS: First Degree in Statistics, Demography, Economics or a related discipline from a recognized tertiary institution, with training in research methods, survey techniques and questionnaire design; Experience using SPSS/PASW or other statistical software; Experience using Microsoft Office Applications; Minimum of two years’ experience in conducting quantitative and qualitative research; Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; Training in advanced statistical methods
