JOB TITLE: Security Officer

LOCATION:  Eden Gardens Wellness Resort & Spa, Kingston

DESCRIPTION: Guards the property against fire, theft, vandalism and illegal entry; Periodically patrols the grounds; Examine windows and doors to ensure they are secure; Reports any infractions that includes but is not limited to loitering, smoking and carrying forbidden articles; Reports irregularities such as fire hazards and unsecured and vulnerable areas; Executes staff search on exit to guard against theft of company property; Sounds an alarm and contact the relevant bodies in the case of Fire; Completes Incident report, immediately after and submits to supervisor; Records all unusual occurrences and suspicious actives; Must not leave your post until your replacement has arrived; Must have a good understanding and follows Eden Gardens Code of Ethics and Employee Standard; Must be in uniforms according to the company’s uniform standards, and be clean and presentable at all times; Must be courteous in welcoming and assisting guests, staff and visitors on property; Assisting Staff members and visitors in crossing the road to Company properties.

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 1 year related experience required; Have PSRA Certification; Be Team Jamaica Certified; Be willing to work on a flexi-schedule; Have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; Be teamwork oriented; Must have experience in a hospitality environment; Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills; Have the ability to work on own initiative and operate efficiently under pressure
