Location: Club Kingston/Club MoBay, Kingston and St. Andrew, St. James
Description: Mix and serve drinks to patrons and cocktail servers following established guidelines, procedures and policies regarding beverage and safety controls as prescribed by company standards; Proper presentation and garnishing of beverages; Interact with all patrons in a cordial, efficient and professional manner; Maintain a commitment to overall guest satisfaction; Responsible for overall bar set up and maintenance – i.e. prepare requisitions and place orders for liquor, other beverage and bar supplies; Provide assistance to Management with ordering, receiving and storing supplies; Implement, planning, control and availability of logs and checklists based on the lounge specifications; Ensure and enhance bar and restaurant profitability and business growth; Be proactive and take initiative in developing bar performance growth; Supervise the work of bar staff and other bartenders; Maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages; Present drink menus, make specific recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages
Qualifications: Tertiary level education or equivalent; Must have at least 3 years work experience in the hospitality or tourism industries; Must have a very good knowledge of liqueurs, spirits and wines; Ability to work flexible hours, nights and weekends; Must be a highly motivated and dynamic individual who realizes that the customer comes first!; Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills; Must be knowledgeable about Jamaican culture; Must have a keen eye for detail and the ability to multi-task; Must have a Food Handlers Permit; Submission of an incident free police record is mandatory; 3 references to be provided upon request; Ability to speak a foreign language is an asset - (conversational Spanish a distinct advantage); TPDCO Team Jamaica Certification is an asset
