Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Criminology
LOCATION: University of the West Indies, Kingston
DESCRIPTION: Teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels on theories of Crime and Punishment and all Institutions related to Criminal Justice Systems, the Police and Society; Research and publish in the area of Criminology or Forensic Psychology or areas related to the field; Supervise MPhil/PhD graduate research; Participate in the strategic planning and management of teaching and learning, including curricula development programs within the Department and wider Faculty; Contribute to the life of the University and to advance teaching, research and community outreach.
QUALIFICATIONS: PhD in Criminology with the ability to teach Forensic Psychology; Possess a demonstrated record of high quality teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels; A significant record of achievement in independent research and success in attracting research funding; Excellent communication skills are essential, as is a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, service and technology application in the classroom; Must possess a genuine interest in helping students and the ability to work effectively as a member of a team; Experience in developing and delivering programs and courses by distance or online at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels will be an advantage..
